Wednesday, 6th July

Today was not as active or busy as our last couple of days but remained just as important. The young people spent most of the day doing their individual debriefing reports. Our debriefing process is critical as it let's us ascertain where each young person is at in their christian faith up to this point. They also give us a report on what they heave heard and what God is teaching them personally. The young people also have the opportunity to comment on any improvements we may need to make for future outreaches.

After lunch the team finished up their debriefing reports and got in some dance practice to polish up on their moves.

Tuesday, 5th July

A busy day but an awesome day just the same. We started our day with 6 baptisms, at River Bottom Park. It was special as all four of my children, Teira, Jamie, Shae and Tayne decided that they wanted baptised. Ashley Martinez and Abigail Garton also made a decision to get baptised as well with their parents consent.

After baptisms we headed back to camp and those that got baptised took showers and changed. Every year we have what we call a "First Fruits Performance" which is where we do our whole program in honour to our Lord and Saviour. Each of the team members and staff have the opportunity to testify as to what God has accomplished or revealed, and give glory to Him. This is a special time as it becomes personal and prepares us to minister to for the rest of the outreach.

After our "First Fruits" performance we headed back to camp and had lunch. Shortly after the lunch the team got in some dance practice time and we had a pre-dinner snack before heading to Colona for our second performance. Colona is about a half hour South of Montrose. We arrived at about 5:45pm and set up in the "Stock Yards" to begin. The team settled down into their heart preparation mode and performed for a lively audience.

Worship

The Boggan's returned today to finish out our teaching time. Bill and Tami ministered in the Spirit today, and after giving us some understanding on the "word of our testimony" they continued where they left off by praying for those on the team that still needed to be prayed for. We entered into a powerful time of ministry as the Holy Spirit addressed fear, unbelief, and other key issues that brought a hindrance to God's purposes in our individual time. The intensity of this time was so much that the team didn't get their normal morning dance practice time in, and we almost didn't have lunch. Jamie Ila, asked for prayer in the area of unbelief and believed that God wanted to annoint her with the gift of healing. This led to her best friend Grace Koepke being prayed for and ministered to in the area of healing. Ashlynn Replogle wanted prayer for renewed passion after God. Her cousin Trevor, and her Grandparents, John and Gayle Strantz, entered into a prayer time for their family. Daniel Lewko, had a word of knowledge spoken over him that he is goin to be leading teams throughout the world in missions. These were just a few of many experiences that we encountered in this time of ministry. Thank You Lord!!!

We finally ended our time and sat down to a late lunch. The team did a run through of all their dances and it was shower time. After dinner, we entered into another powerful time of ministry. Tonight marked the end of our prayer and intercession time for the nations. Each one of the team members testified as to their individual experiences regarding our three weeks of intercession for the nations. We ended in a powerful timeof worship, where we each caught a revelation of how huge God's heart is for the nations. In these last three weeks, there has been a new appreciation for intercession and for the nations. As a team we came to an understanding that God's arm is not too short to save.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID TABOR

david
Man after God's own heart
, David Tabor

How truly blessed we are by this man pictured above. He has represented the Father heart of God impeccably for as long as I can remember. And he has been a "Warrior" in the truest sense of the word. You can ask anyone that knows David Tabor anywhere in the US or abroad for that matter, and they will tell you truthfully, that he is a man after God's own heart.

There have been a few events that have transpired since I last wrote. As Kathleen mentioned yesterday we got through praying for all 241 known nations and we have had a ball. Tonight we concentrated our prayer effort on a corporate level, praying in one big group for the nations of Korea and the US. Tomorrow night we will celebrate in worship to mark the end of our prayer and intercession time for the nations.

nations
All 241 countries prayed and accounted for. Thank You Lord!!!

Today marked a significant day. We kick started our day with birthday celebration breakfast for David. Julie Weaver, long time friend and family of SRFM came and spoke in our teaching time. Julie's husband Luke Weaver is involved with a 24 Hour prayer center in Pennsylvania, and she came with her 3 children at the Lords prompting to help with our prayer and intercession times. Julie is Kathy Weaver's daughter.

After Julie spoke we had lunch and headed to a piece of property here in Montrose, that has been set aside for David and Kathleen Tabor to build their house on. Each of the team members, staff included, prayed and received scriptures for this particular piece of land. We wrote each of our scripture references on individal popsicle sticks and did a prayer walk on the property placing our popsicle sticks in various places in the ground as we walked and prayed. Exciting times indeed as God gave each of us a sense of anticipation as to how He is going to release that land to the Tabor's in time to come.

We headed back to the camp but not before getting a treat at Sonic much to the young peoples pleasure. Showers were had and we made preparations for a huge birthday party for David.

A Funny Story

The "Sunrise Sista's" (Abby Garton not pictured due to obvious reasons...)

On Thursday morning the girls decided to wake up (Around 6:30am), go on the balcony of the school library, and watch the sun rise. Megan, was just geting back from her morning walk when she noticed the girls up on the balcony. She asked them what they were doing and they told her that they were waiting for the sun to rise. Megan reluctantly informed them that the sun had risen around 5:45am and that it was behind the clouds. Needless to say the girls weren't very impressed, much to the team's (Especially the boys) amusement. They are now and forever, fondly referred to as the "Sunrise Sista's". In case your wondering, YES!!! I did have to post this as one that will go down in the record books...

Thursday, 30th June

A word from our Team Leader Kathleen Tabor:

This Boot Camp has been the most rewarding and encouraging time I can ever remember. This outreach is the first time we have had a work program in the afternoon, and a prayer time for the nations has continued for almost three weeks in the evening.  This is our last night of prayer for the nations, and tomorrow we finish by praying for North and South Korea and America, followed by a praise and worship night.  I have been so humbled by all of those who have participated.  The kids have given beyond anything we could have asked or prayed for.  Their unity, humility and gratitude have been remarkable.

There have been several scripture portions that God has highlighted in our times together.  The most recent was from the book of Haggai, chapter one.  The reason it was so remarkable is because Charity Freeland just moved out of her house, and David and I moved our gear into the house.  Our things have been stored for three and a half years.  The day we moved her out was the time we started our Boot Camp training, and we moved into a school building with all of the staff and kids, to sleep on the floor for a month.  The chapter in Haggai says, “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses while this house of the Lord lies in ruins?”  Verse8 says “Go up to the hill country and bring lumber and rebuild My house, and I will take pleasure in it and I will be glorified, says the Lord…”  Today we took everyone of us and went to our house and emptied the garage and unpacked most of what we have had stored.  Because we have been praying for the nations for the last three weeks, and for the USA and Korea daily, we can see this scripture come to life as we walk in what God has asked of us.  What joy to know the God who ordains our times and seasons.

Wednesday, 29th June

It was a real treat to have Gayle Strantz be our speaker this morning. Gayle spoke on sin and how it is like a fishing hook that sets itself in us to catch us. She also gave us some practical tools as to how to deal with the issue of sin in our lives. We finished our teaching time with some worship and the kids prepared for dance practice. There are about four of our team members that haven't danced to these songs before but they seem to be picking it up really quickly. The important thing is they are all having a blast and we are really excited and keen to be performing next week. It seems hard to believe that we are almost at the end of our outreach but we are excited just the same. The word today was "Anytime you have an encounter with God you can never be the same again"!!!

Tuesday, 28th June

John Strantz was our speaker for the first morning session before we started dance practice. John shared his testimony on the power of God's forgiveness and redemption. Our team once again were reminded that life is not just about them but that God has a broader more diverse plan than what we think.

We also welcomed Leeann, Ashlynn, Deanna and Trevor to the team today. They will be dancing with us for our performing arts outreach next week.

Saturday, 25th June

anna
Our larger than life team member Anna Tabor

We had a special treat this morning as we heard from one of our very own, Anna Tabor. Anna who is 16 years of age had a vision to start a business "Bowls for Change", that would help support missions and mission organisations around the world. Basically, she came up with the idea to hand paint and decorate bowls that would be used for spare change. Once the bowls were full the proceeds would go to a missionary or missions organisation of your choice. The bowls sell for $10.00 a bowl and those funds go back into buying more bowls to decorate and sell. She and her three younger sisters are responsible for decorating the bowls. For more information go to www.bowlsforchange@blogspot.com. Anna's talk has become a source of inspiration for our young people to seek God as to how to motivate their specific God given gifts into bringing glory back to God.

Our second speaker for today was Mrs. Julie Powell who shared her testimony of how powerful the hand of God is in the area of redemption and healing. Our young people also gleaned much from Julie's testimony and learned the importance of clinging to God's truth in the midst of intense testing.

After our two sessions the boys went off to help Charity Freeland load her U Haul truck for her move to Texas and the girls went to Mrs. Angie Petersen's to mow the lawn and pull weeds. After completing their tasks for the day, the team settled to some much needed time off and watched movies or went to Sonic for a treat.

Friday, 24th June

We heard from Matt Nocas today who is a missionary to Korea. This was very significant as we have been in prayer for North and South Korea for the last two weeks. The understanding that we received was invaluable as it gave us insight into the things that we are to pray for specifically. It also confirmed things that God had already laid on hearts to pray for before we heard from Matt. Our work day took us out to the Lewko's house. Ethan and Daniel are on the team and their mother Tamara is on staff. They have an older brother Nathaniel, who is right now training in the Marines. We also welcomed Julie Weaver and her children, Jarrett, Rayna and Josiah from Pennsylvania. Julie is Kathy Weaver's daughter and Kathy is on our staff.

John and Gayle Strantz who are on SRFM's board came and had dinner with us and we got the opportunity to celebrate their 46th Wedding Anniversary. So a good day topped off with a party was had by all.

Thursday, 23rd June

Bill and Tami Boggan returned today and prayed for each individual member of the team. This was a very significant time as they both prayed the gifts of the Holy Spirit over the team. After lunch we split up into two teams. Jamie, Makayla and Jordan went with Curtis to help at a Daycare and the rest of the team, David and I headed to an elderly lady's house, where we trimmed hedges, trees, weeded, pruned weed eated, raked leaves and cleared brush. After our drink and snack break we met Helen. Helen is 95 years old and she is a resident here in Montrose. As we sat in her living room for our break, she recounted her story for us and described for us what it was like when she was a young lady growing up. This was a special treat for us and something I don't think we'll forget very easily.

Another awesome day giving glory to God!!! Please keep us in prayer as we are about to enter the last week of intercession for the nations. These young people are troopers and God is well pleased with each and everyone of them.

Wednesday, 22nd June

So I posed the question "How do you think this outreach is going?", to two of our our staff members today and this is the response I received.

Kathy Weaver - " I feel priviledged to be a part of this team where I've seen every member exhibit a "heart after God." Their openness and responsiveness to His instruction, and their whole-hearted obedience has been amazing. I've seen God's grace and tenderness especially pour down and touch each of us through difficult situations. God has sent awesome teachers, servants, and intercessors from the Montrose community to impart His heart and support to us. I am thankful for all God is doing in my life and through this team!"

Curtis Allen - "If I could use one word to describe this outreach, it would be "unselfish". I see this in almost all that is going on. Everything we do, from breakfast prep, lectures, quiet times, helps ministry (pulling weeds, scraping paint etc.). Intercession is learning about and serving God.

That about says it! Until tomorrow, God Bless you!!!

Tuesday, 21st June

Our speaker for our first session today was Joey Burns and he spoke on Isaiah 53 and went into the difference between transgression and iniquity. "Transgressions are the action. Iniquities are the root of all transgressions"!!! The young people really enjoyed his teaching and the response was incredible. I would have to say all our teachers have been incredible and they are having an awesome impact on our young people as well as our staff. We also worked at MEC again today and finally got finished with scraping and sanding. Tomorrow we will be putting primer on the two buildings that we have scraped and sanded, which will be interesting. The young men finally got a chance to experience some touch rugby this afternoon which led to bag and hose showers afterward. All in all it was a good day. I should have more pictures up and a video footage of some new painting techniques by Jamie Ila and her cousin Anna Tabor which waspretty entertaining to say the least.

Monday, 20th June

Before I continue, I would like to draw your attention to the video above. A huge thank you to Adam Woodden for making this happen. Well it's certainly good to be back. The team has been busy since I've been gone, the highlight being Arthur's birthday on Saturday. They also had a whole host of speakers while I was gone, and a day off yesterday, taking in a BBQ and some much needed R&R time. Below are some pictures of what they got up to. Enjoy!!!

Wednesday, 15th June

Things are most definitely coming together on this outreach. So far we are five days into boot camp and already we are seeing God's hand move. As we were praying for the nation of Belgium, one evening, God imparted a vision of a fireplace. When asked what the fireplace stood for, He said it represented story telling. His word was going to be imparted to the younger generation from the life experiences and stories of how God's hand moved in the lives of the older generation. As the older generations shared their accounts of their experiences with God in the past, God is going to breathe His anointing through these stories into the hearts of the younger generation and they are going to catch that fire and passion for God and do incredible things for Him and His Kingdom causing revival throughout the continent of Europe. This is one account from so many as the young people are pressing into God and experiencing Him reveal His sovereign plan for the nations. Exciting stuff to say the least.

As of tomorrow I will be away until Sunday. So there will be no daily reports temporarily until Sunday or Monday. There will be a day off on Sunday for the team and I will be getting back from Denver. My apologies for the inconvenience.

Tuesday, 14th June

In our worship time this morning the Lord imparted the word "contend'. His challenge to us as a team was that we were to be intentional about His word to us and not just go through the motions. This resulted in a our team breaking off into 2 to 3 people groupings and praying for eachother. This was definitely a precious time as each of the young people, after praying processed what God had challenged in their personal lives. God is doing some mighty things in our midst and we are very privileged to be a part of it. Today we worked in Olathe at the House of Promise, a christian rehab centre for single mothers. Again, our young people proved they are no slouches when it comes to hard labour. We will be there again tomorrow.

Monday, 13th June

Another great day today!!! We started our day with our young people sharing what God has aleady done in three days during our worship time. We want to honour all you parents that have graciously released your young people to us once again. As a staff we can't tell you just how much we are blessed by their passion and hunger for the things of God. After worship we headed into teaching with a little different flavour. Today our teaching was brought to us through some parts of the movie "The King's Speech"!!! This set a tone for insight into how we are fathered and who we choose to be fathered by. After lunch we headed out to "Common Ground" the future Youth & Family Center where our young people experienced their first service project for the outreach. We weeded, cleared brush and painted and basically got down and dirty. Much needed showers followed and a hearty meal of fried rice and fruit salad for dinner was enjoyed. After dinner it was praying for the nations and our young people certainly have risen to the occassion. We headed to bed directly after intercession and I will venture to say that we will sleep well tonight...

Sunday, 12th June

Today, the young people were given grace on their first day of outreach. They were granted some sleep in time and breakfast started promptly at 8:00am. After breakfast our first speaker Adam Woodden arrived with his family. After an intimate time of worship, Adam shared on intercession and gave testimony as to the revelation of how God has taught him how to pray and intercede. This was truly a remarkable time, as Adam touched on several areas that each of the young people and staff including myself could relate to. After our time of teaching we packed up and headed to the park for a BBQ. Although we encountered some windy weather we continued our fun bonding as a team. For some of us staff included, we headed home to get some rest and prepare for our prayer time in the evening. We also got in some much needed shower time. Dinner started at 6:00pm and from 7:00pm to 8:30pm the team was divided into 5 groups and each group was designated 3 nations to pray and intercede for. After our prayer time, we ha desert and got ready for bed. I will be posting photo's and possibly some video footage so that parents and friends can get an iea of what our days look like.

Saturday, 11th June

The much anticipated outreach has begun. Today we saw two of our team members come in from Denver, CO, Grace Koepke and Art Loy. These are indeed exciting times and we are very blessed to see God bring this team together. The rest of the team is made up of young people from Montrose, Abby Garton, Teira & Jamie Ila, Ethan & Daniel Lewko, Ashley Martinez, and Jordan Perez. Makayla Woods will be joining us in a couple of days as she is getting over being sick. We gathered at our bootcamp location around 4:30pm and families brought pizza in for dinner. We had a brief welcome and orientation by tea leader Kathleen Tabor and were shown our lodgings for the next 4 weeks. Our Staff are: David & Kathleen Tabor, Geoff & Megan Ila, Clara Ila, Marylou Luttrell, Kathy Weaver, Tamara Lewko & Curtis Allen.
